How embarrassing don’t you know…
Well it was for a bit of a laugh, but it seems that the presenters from ‘Something for the Weekend’ didn’t approve of the glass of wine I had with my sweet n sour pork balls that my pet cooked up for me. Tim and Simon, I’m an English Toy Terrier don’t you know, I like a bit of wine with my meal. I’m a sophisticated pup!

The number of dogs being abandoned across Yorkshire has increased due to the strain of the credit crunch, claims an animal charity.
Yorkshire Animal Ambulance said it has rescued about 20 dogs in the last two weeks because rising inflation is making pets too expensive.
Suzanne Waller, who runs the charity said a German Shepherd was found tied to a bench in West Yorkshire on Sunday.
Ms Waller said: “The rising costs is making dogs credit crunch victims.”
She added: “Some owners have brought their dogs in to find another home but some of the animals have just been abandoned because they are seen as disposable commodities for people.”
The charity said it costs around £20 for pet insurance per month plus excess charges, £30 for grooming and £20 for feed. While pedigree breeds cost £500-£600.
One border collie which the Halifax centre took in had been left when their owner moved house. In another case two puppies which has been left in the kennels twice, were not collected on the third occasion.
The Yorkshire Animal Ambulance said it has increasingly been working with local authority dog wardens who contact them rather than having to put the animals to sleep.

“Gucci, an 18-month-old pomeranian, is a fluffy ball of fun who loves walks in the park. And he can be your dog - for a price - as part of a new service renting out canine companions.
Dog hire company Flexpetz is opening a branch in London, its first outside the US. There the business is well established, with dogs-for-hire in New York, San Diego and Los Angeles.
To borrow a dog for four days a month costs a tail-drooping monthly fee of £279 in the UK (in the US, it’s $279.95) - plus extra for drop-off and collection, if needed. The company says the high cost of maintaining and paying for vets’ bill explains the disparity. The target clientele in London will be much like those who have signed up in Los Angeles and New York - urbanites whose busy lives make full-time pet ownership difficult.”
Hmmm…. Perhaps I’m in the wrong business..? Would you hire me..? For, let’s say £300? Have travel costs to consider don’t you know!

A little boy and his dog are walking through the forest when they suddenly fall into a pit. They scramble and scramble but can’t make their way out. The little boy yells, the dog barks, but no one is around to hear their calls for help. Slowly, the night sky turns black and they find themselves engulfed in utter darkness.
Off in the distance, the wolves begin howling. Each howl is louder and closer than the last.
The little boy holds the dog close to his chest and says sadly to the dog, “This is the worst mess in which ever have found ourselves, my darling Indy.”
“Yeah,” the dog says, “we’re really screwed.”
“Indy,” the boy says, astonished, “I didn’t know you could talk.”
“Well,” the dog says, “I was kinda waiting for the right time to tell you.”

A dog which inherited $12m (£5.8m) from late New York hotelier Leona Helmsley is in hiding after it was targeted by death threats, US media say.
Trouble, a white Maltese that belonged to the billionaire until her death in August, was flown by private jet to Florida, the New York Post reported.
It says the tiny bitch was whisked away under an assumed name after receiving about 20 threats.
It wasn’t me, I’d be more interested in humping her!
